Guest Designer for "My Creative Time" with Emma!!!

I was so excited to win the new stamp set "Race for the Cure" and four pink fabulous blocks from Emma Aguilar with . This is a great stamp set and also benefits a good cause. I also purchased her stamp set "My favorite Sayings". I absolutely love her stamps. The quality is superb and I love all her sentiments and she is the sweetest person.  Be sure to visit here blog for the exciting release of her  My Creative Time's "7th Edition Stamp Release" happening this Friday @ 8am PST!

I was so honored when she asked me to guest design for her blog! WOW.... she is like the Oprah Winfrey of stamps!! I love to watch her videos, she is very informative and her series of gypsy videos are the best. She explains everything so well for people like me who have a gypsy and don't know how to use it! So for her spot I decided to make a project for each of the two sets.

First up will be the "Race for the Cure". I love pink so this wasn't hard at all for me. I decided on a 12 x 12 layout page. I used my Cricut imagine to print 3 different pattern papers from the Yummy cart and Blossom pattern papers cart. I used my new Cricut Expression 2 and my gypsy for the girl on the scooter and the tags I cut. I have the recipe below the picture.

I used 4 stamps out of the set for this layout. The cut little ribbon on the basket I used my new awesome glitter from "Bo Nash" I have a video I did on my blog from this. It is amazing because it is so fine and the special adhesive works so great the glitter sticks well without leaving a heavy line or humps in your project. The excess (which there is very little waste because of the way you apply) just comes off with the oils from your hand when you brush your hand over the area.

I used Razzberry ink from Colorbox chalk inks for all the stamped areas. I think it worked well with all the colors.
Papers: The main page was cut from Yummy Cart, The 1" stripe on the left was cut from the Blossom cart and I have to say this is my favorite! The striped style that was used as one of the photo mats and the base of the other was cut from the Yummy cart as well.
The plaid piece that was used under the top photo mat and also on pieces of the girl and scooter were from "Fancy Pants" Beach babe 6x6 paper pack I bought at Archivers back in April. I also used the pink and yellow polka dot paper from this stack as an accent piece on the left side and on the scooter.

The polka dot piece was cut at 2" x 6" and the one end 1/2" corners chomp with corner chomper!
Yellow plaid piece under the top photo mat was cut at 1 1/2" x 6" and inked with Lime pastel ink from Colorbox.

Girl on scooter cut from "Sweethearts" cart at 4 1/4"

The tags were cut from "Tags, bags, boxes and more" at sizes Lg 1.78" x 2.65" (I know weird sizes but just eyeballed what I wanted and didn't notice the size until after on gypsy!) Sm is 1.39" x 2.06". I just cut off the top of the large one. Everything inked with the Razzberry from Colorbox.

Second Project

I used the stamp set "My favorite Sayings" inked the sentiment in black (my browns were dried up...oh my!) I did ink the sentiment in a brown I could squeak out a bit of!
Card is 6 x 6 cut out of Recollections Kraft paper, the top layer is paper from PKJ Designs called "Chocolate Checkers" cut at 5 1/2" x 5"
All the images were cut from the "Yummy cartridge"
The cake was cut at 2.5"
Girl cut at 5"
I cut a piece from the yummy cart for the underneath area of the sentiment. It was a dark brown.
I used glossy accents on the icing area on the cake and on her eyes (kinda looks weird in the pic but not in person!)
Chocolate brown twine from the twinery.

Hope you like the projects! I sure enjoyed doing them and enjoyed the opportunity to be on Emma's blog so big THANK YOU to Emma!!!

Its all in the timing!

I know I haven't posted a project in a while because I have had family visiting. I have been busy preparing for my first Cricut 360 DT post and a guest design spot that I will post when its time! Lets just say I was SO honored to even be asked by this person. I love her site and I'm hoping my project looks good enough for it!

I have to say in preparation for these projects I have used my imagine like crazy! I printed lots of pattern papers with the machine. The blossom pattern papers are WONDERFUL....I love this pink one in partricular that I will post on here because its just so pretty. I printed several pinks for my project and used the yummy cart for a few patterns too so it was beautiful paper when i got done. I'm really loving my imagine now. First go around I didn't care for it. The more I use it the more I love it.

Thank you provocraft for listening when we all said we wanted ink, mats and stuff on the rewards program. I was able to get 3 color inks and 3 black inks for my imagine! I was beginning to think my reward points were pointLESS but then they added the inks. What a deal! Now if they would add the imagine mats too!

Here is a pic of the pink paper that is my favorite off the blossom cart. I cut up the others for my project but printed an extra of this one so I can show you plus I'm using it to help my granddaughter make a sign for her sister's room.  Ok my camera STILL sucks but here is a pic of the paper but its much prettier in person. I'm getting more of the pattern carts. I didn't figure I would print full page pieces but now I really like that. Especially want the Teresa Collins black and white, vintage papers too. Plus I want the Teresa Collins baby boutique because it has some really cute images on it. So I have a wish list going! I still don't have campin' critters and I love that one too!

Race for the Cure Stamp set from My Creative Time

First of all I would love to thank Emma Aguilar with "My Creative time" for the WONDERFUL blog candy I won. I got her new set of stamps "Race for the Cure", 4 of her BEAUTIFUL pink....did I say pink....yes I said pink....blocks (did you all know I love pink!) and the pink Cgull tool kit!!!! WOW this was a great win. I didn't own any of Emma's stamps but now she definitely has a fan and I will buy more of her stamps (one at a time to go easy on the budget!) but I will own them all!

She is absolutely the sweetest person. I know I haven't met her, haven't talked to her on the phone or anything but I can tell just from her emails she has a kind, sweet soul. I just wanted to take the time to post about her. Please visit her site, purchase her stamps you will not be sorry. Her block set is Fabulous! Her stamps inked so nice. I did a few to show you what they looked like. I love this little ribbon with the polka dots. Course I used pink chalk ink to ink them! I plan to do a project center around these stamps! I will be working on it soon. I have family visiting for a week coming Sunday so I probably won't get much work in my craft room done! Here is a link to  Emma's site !
