Starting something big!

Well I am going to dive into this world of selling stamps. I am very scared and excited at the same time. I have thought about this for over 4 years now and its time to dive in and swim or sink...hopefully the first one. I am down to crunch time on this as it is almost closing in on the halloween season. So that is what I am selling first. I got a bit of a late start because of my parents having health issues so wish me luck. Blog is in the works. Should be up soon. Here is a link to the store (its pretty bare for now but it will get better!) They are pre-orders right now and I will be getting on Sept. 10 and ship out right away.  Purchase the whole set (4)  and I will take 10% off. Email me with any questions. The shopping cart is not set up for this discount but I will refund the money if you get them all. Just drop me an email

BIG HUGE THANKS to Angelica Suarez for designing my beautiful logo! She is awesome!! Check her out

{*Nuts about You*}

I am on Timeless Twine blog today with another DT project. I wanted to make a cute little picture frame for my desk with my favorite NUT in the hubby. He makes me laugh everyday and I am so appreciative for him being in my life. We have so much fun together. This picture of him was taken on a month long florida vacation and we just had so much fun. He is a super handsome guy but its hard to get a good picture because he is usually making some crazy face to me.

I purchased the "Nuts about You" file from I really love her files and seem to love every design she comes out with. I used a shape I had in my library to make the frame. i didn't want just a square one. I cut that shape about 3 times to layer and give it some stability. Then I cut another square out of heavy chipboard to put behind it. I made a stand out of the chipboard as well.

Isn't this squirrel cute!! I used my Chocolate Chip & Aqua twine

PS...can you spot the boo boo??? Yes I ended up not paying attention to the direction the acorns were going on the pattern paper!! I actually adhered it and should have paid attention when glueing the back on but didn't! OH heck!!

{Gearing up for Halloween}

Yes it is my favorite time to scrap because it is acceptable to start EARLY and work on halloween projects. I don't know why but I love to make things for halloween.

Unfortunately I have no little kids to make anything for, don't typically get as many trick or treaters anymore but I love all the cute files that are out from various SVG companies and I just get so many great ideas. I guess because I love it so much it comes a bit easier. I took a treat holder file and modified it a bit, created a handle and made these adorable little treat holders.

It would be cute with candy corn or smarties or something in them. I didn't take much time to decorate them because honestly it was a test cut to see how the file turned out. I love them! They are approximately 4" high and 2.5" wide. I used some Timeless Twine in Tuxedo black and Pumpkin Orange to make some little bows. Stop by the shop to get you a great Halloween Bundle for those halloween projects!! Here is the link {STORE}

Menu Planning made easy!

I was browsing pinterest and had pinned this blog ( that showed an easy to make Menu Board. I had originally planned on getting a magnetic board but not easy to find locally and not that cheap so I seen this site and she used a cork board that she found at Hobby Lobby and I went out to get all the necessary products I needed. My daughter loves Gray and Red so I wanted it to be pretty much identical to what the lady did on this blog and she got all her stuff at HL also. It was so easy!

She gives the printables which I loved the colors so I left it all the same and used her printables and then laminated them. Then you just lay it down on the fabric making sure your pattern is going the right way and super glue the fabric on the back. I did one side then pulled it tight and glueing the other side as I held it tight.

The only thing I would do different next time is use something besides hot glue to attach the days of the week etc. to the clothes pins and laminated prints. The hot glue did not want to keep it held down. The lamination was I guess just too slick and it kept coming loose. So that would be what I will change next time. I had E6000 around so I stuck some of it on there so lets see how that does.

Now all I have to do is cut some little strips and hand write dishes she likes to cook on them for her menu planning!!

So here are the necessary ingredients & Price:

11 x 17 unframed cork board $4.99 (it was on sale for 30% off that though!)
bag of clothes pins $3.47 at HL (You could do two boards with the amount)
Chevron fabric 1/2 yard was $6.99 per yard but on sale 30% off you can do 3 of these size boards!!
laminator (you could mod podge or similar too I would think)
Wide ribbon (red I used) $3.99 for 4 yards so lots left over to do more and it was 50% off too!!

So you can see this is really a pretty inexpensive project and I did it all in under 1 1/2 hours. It would have been sooner but she uses a box from some coffee cups for Keurig which i do not own so I made a box in Silhoutte (or I should say I modified an existing box!)

Your the Bees Knees

Sorry I am alittle late today!! Today is my Timeless Twine day and my project I made a cute little treat box and used Lettering delights "Bees Knees" to decorate it. I used some wire to twist up and make the bees float above the box. I used the new Key Lime color and weaved it in and out around the box. It maybe be hard to see cause its hard to photograph! I must apologize for the pics. I planned on retaking them but I spent all day with my mother who recently fell and had surgery. The base papers were coredination and the rest is all print and cut with my cameo.

Its Lia's Birthday....

I made this cute little card for our granddaughters birthday. She will be 6!! I put a little pocket on the inside shaped like her little pockets on her outfit but failed to take that pic before sending! I was in a hurry I had very little notice from hubs that I needed to do this as I had forgotten.

I used this cute little shopping girl from the silhouette store. The puppy was so cute but geesh I made this really big (bigger than it came) and the pieces were so tiny that I left off a few. The bows I didn't care about because i was going to use my favorite thing TIMELESS TWINE!! I used the Raspberry Pink (she loves pink as I do!) I pop dotted the girl on the card. I used Simple Stories "Vintage Bliss" and Coredinations paper. The sentiment is from Creative Time for me. The cute scrabble tiles are from Timeless Twine (Bellacreationz store) as well.

Timeless Twine "Sketchy" Challenge

Today we are starting a new challenge at Timeless Twine. Using the sketch below we were to make a card or a layout.

I used Timeless Twine's new color "Watermelon Sorbet" this was from the newest "Sorbet Collection" that was released. This is my favorite one but I do love them all. I did a print and cut for all my layers and including the girl. I used paper from Carta Bella's True Friends digital paper and then some solids from Coredinations. I purchased this cute little girl from Precious Piercings called Besties. I pop dotted the girl to give her dimension. Then I used some various elements from Silhouette for arrows and the top left. I used a cute Kraft heart sticker from Bellacreationz The little button is from My Clever Creations. She has some awesome colors for the buttons she offers. Hope you like it!
