Cardz TV Thank you card

I whipped up this cute little thank you card for Cardz TV. Sorry I am late putting this up. Having a little issue with blogger, pics gone and everything! Please join us for the Cardz TV challenge. I used a little bird I pulled off the internet and did a print and cut. I used a file from the silhouette store to make the cute word bubble frame. I love this frame. Popped a little bow out of Timeless Twine on it and inside I wrote the words Thank you.

I love kraft paper but I did a paper piercing pattern around the bottom and you can't see it. Thanks for stopping by and hope you join us for the challenge!

Romantic little treat

I am on today and sharing a cute little "romantic" treat holder. I think its super sweet and would be wonderful to make for someone that you love just to show them you are thinking about them. You don't even have to be a reason! I used the "IVY LANE" Collection and just made some simple cuts to create this treat holder. You could also make one if with a decorative punch on the end and make a little hole for your ribbon. I used a sticker for the front from the WOG and I also bought a button machine a few days ago so of course I put that to use by making a custom flair button for the front. I just used a scallop punch to layer it on. I love how it turned out.

I added the ribbon (thank you sweet Jessica Esch for this) to the top and put some candy in a cello bag and I love it!! The WOG are so handy for not just making layouts but making cards, 3d projects etc. and having all the coordinating accessories right there makes it really quick to whip something up!

Baby card Challenge

Today I am on the Cardz TV blog for another card challenge. This theme was to make a baby card. I immediately knew I wanted to do a cute giraffe...I love giraffes although an adorable hippo would have been a good choice for me as well.

I used a card base from I purchased the set of 10 different shapes which is pretty awesome. The giraffe I think was just a silhouette file. I used some Timeless Twine Natural twine for the mane (isn't that the cutest mane!) I also used the bubblegum pink Timeless Twine and Olive Green to give alittle texture to the card. I cut a flower, put a brad in the center and then did some swirls around the flower with the bubblegum pink and olive twine.

Don't forget to link up your creations and join us in the Cardz TV baby themed challenge!!

Everybody must get flair!

I just bought a button machine and I am in love with it already. I had wanted one for quite a long time now but just didn't want to spend the $$ to get it. I figured I procrastinated long enough about it and either do it or don't so I decided I would destash a bit and if I sold enough to justify getting it I would and it would be meant to be...Well in about a day I had the money!

I sold off the remainder of my stash of zombie stamps from my own stamp line and then sold off a few things items I just knew I probably wouldn't use again. (I have loads more!) and so it was obviously meant to be.

Of course my first buttons had to be zombie's. Yes I must confess I am obsessed with zombies and the Walking Dead so what can I say. I plan to make other buttons that would appeal to other people that aren't zombie obsessed too. But here is my first set I made. Lighting was off cause it was at night and I could have retaken the photo but geesh I am just sharing my first go at it so I didn't want to get too crazy with the photo taking.

I purchased my machine from American Button Machines and I have to say Keith was wonderful. He answered every question I had and has been so helpful. I recommend them to anyone thinking about getting one themselves. I am already enjoying mine!

Felt obsessed

Today I am on Timeless Twine and I am currently in a Felt plushie obsession and was working on a cat and wanted to share my process. The Simply White Timeless Twine is the perfect weight to go through the felt and trim out my projects. I am alittle obsessed with it right now and using it on my felt projects.

Its nice to see other ways you can utilize your twine than the typical paper project so I hope you get some inspiration from it and try some yourself. There are alot of free patterns to be found to make some of the different projects.

I sometimes see things I like and also modify them to my liking. Felt squares are super cheap at the craft store and I even bought mine by the yard since I have used so much of it.

I used the blanket stitch all around the cats head. There area lot of tutorials on youtube for teaching you the various stitches you can use on the projects.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ivy Lane Layout #2

I am sharing another layout with the Close to My Heart Ivy Lane Workshop on the Go
This time I decided to use some of the stickers from the "My Stickease Assortment" to decorate my pages up.

I just cut various sizes of the pattern papers in the collection and used some of the border stickers to frame it in.

I created small picture mats (white 3.25" x 3.25" and pattern is 3" x 3") I left a large area to the right to add either a large picture or more journaling. Its a simple layout and the Workshops on the go make it quick and easy to create these layouts in no time. Even for a beginner like me!

I will master the layouts at some point. The more I create them probably the more at ease I will get and then probably more creative at some point. I chose to share it without the pictures this time because I have to decide on what goes on this layout. So for this card gal thanks for allowing me to share my learning process with you!

Timeless Twine & Lawn Fawn Event

WHOOO HOOO we are doing a collaboration with Lawn Fawn.  I can't tell you how excited I was we were doing this.

Kelly from Lawn Fawn is just the sweetest and they have some adorable stamps and we will be sharing all week with you products from Lawn Fawn paired with Timeless Twine!

There are several new sets that they released from CHA and I got to use the "Happy Trails" set. I don't camp but I love anything camping related....not sure why but I love me some vintage/retro campers! This set fit the mold perfectly! Also I got the "Hello Sunshine" paper pad and I have never used Lawn Fawns paper but I am SOOOO IN LOVE with it. Not only are the designs just adorable but the thickness of the paper is wonderful, especially using it to fussy cut or cut with a die cutting machine. I hate thin paper.

I am a HOARDER collector of paper and so it was extremely difficult to cut this paper because I loved it and I wanted to hoard  savor it.

I used a shape card from Svgcutting files that I had purchased to use for my base. I cut strips of various sizes of paper from the pad and adhered just a tad in the middle to keep in place and then stitched around the entire card and zig zag stitched horizontally between the different pieces.

I created a little sun out of Timeless Twine's Lemonade twine and then made a epoxy piece for the center. I used the epiphany craft tool. I honestly love the concept but I can never get these epoxy's to stick to the paper. The sticky is not sticky enough. So I used some atg tape over it. I was inpatient.

I fussy cut the little car and trees. I used the little road stamp and just repeated to make a longer road.

And Now for my 2nd card.....A Waterfall card. It was another several hours for me to complete this because more fussy cutting!!

Products I used:
Lawn Fawn "Hello Sunshine" 6x6 paper pad
Lawn Fawn "Happy Trails" stamp set

Ivy Lane WOG layout

Hello I am sharing another project with the Ivy Lane Workshop on the go for I think I mentioned before I am NOT a layout girl. I am mostly a card maker, a 3d person, and generally just about anything but layouts! So I am really challenging myself to do some and you will see some really (maybe bad) different style layouts I am sure because I am just a newbie at it.

I know there are traditionally some rules to follow with doing layouts but if you know me I don't follow no stinking rules with my scrapping! HA that is just not being true to me so therefore I will find a groove, it may take some time but now I have products that will help me to achieve this foreign concept. The WOG are just that product for me. I have to admit I never paid attention to the layouts they suggest because I again did more cardmaking etc. with the kits. Now the next two projects I have committed myself to layouts so here is one.

On my stamped images don't worry I made mine look a bit more washed out and worn if you will. I wanted more of the washed out look because it is a romantic line and my layout is about love but also and underlying beach thing for me because the pics are from a Florida trip so I liked the sunwashed feel of the way the ink looks.

Grab yourself a workshop on the go if you are a newbie to crafting or layouts because it definitely helps. You have all you need in one kit! Thanks for stopping by!
