Leaf on Me

Today I am on Timeless Twine and our theme the rest of the month is Halloween or fall and we are to use Autumn Splendor which is on sale for $2.25 a roll!!! A roll people not a little bit a whole roll!! So I wanted to make a fall themed card. Weird a bit cause I am such a halloween lover but I wanted to use these cute little leaf dies.

So I just cut out several of the leaves in several different colors. Distress inked the edges, added the autumn splendor twine and a cute tag with a sentiment and it was a done deal. The paper I thought went perfect with the colors I wanted to use. I wish I could have done a cute shaped card but my time is pretty thin right now and I had to just go with a simple shape and used a corner rounder. I think it is still ok.

Don't forget to stop over and grab some of the twine cause I mean for $2.25 for that many yards is crazy cheap!!

Easy DIY Planner Pockets and Planner decor ideas

Easy DIY Planner Pockets and Planner Decor Ideas

I am on the Mrs. Brimbles blog today. My topic is going to be about dressing up your planner by adding cute elements you can make yourself or purchase. Today I will share a couple pockets I made for my two planners shown below.

One of the planners is a Kikki K A5 which I love cause I am someone who likes BIG planners. I need alot of space to feel free and not so confined but that is a personal preference. I also share my new Kate Spade Rose gold planner. I will be honest it is a personal size which is not my fav but I purchased it cause #1 I didn't own a Kate Spade Wellesley planner or any Kate Spade items which I totally want a purse and #2 it was rose gold (which I was hoping for a bit more of a pink cast to it). It is pretty but its pretty much just eye candy for this gal although I could see using this for travel so I could have all my credit cards and my hectic retired life schedule in it ha ha.

Halloween is my absolutely FAVORITE time of the year. I love fall in general and then add the cute little halloween decorations and cute spooky items and its hog heaven for me. Below are pictures of some fun items I added to a not so spooky pink planner but it works! The little paperclips I made with my silhouette cameo and I intentionally made them pink for Breast Cancer awareness and it also goes great for blinging up my pink planner with halloween goodies. This pack of Project Life cards that were halloween I cannot get enough of them.

The pocket shown below is in my A5 Kikki so it is a bit larger than the one below and it is a different  look with the slanted pocket. Also this one is not attached to a PL card as I did in the one below. This one you will need a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock to make it this size.

This diagram shows you the sizes I made mine. You can adjust yours depending on if you want to go a bit bigger or smaller. The page is not to scale but hope it gives you a good idea how to
easily make them. If you have a die cutting machine you can find cutting files easily. If you do not own a cutting machine then you can easily make these with a paper trimmer and making some marks on the paper for guides or cut from regular copy paper or scrap paper a template.

For this pocket below that is in my personal size Kate Spade I made a pocket on my silhouette that I adhered directly on a large Project Life card. I love how it looks. I used some wonderful washi tape that was in my October Brimbles box and cut the little flag ends on it and adhered it to the bottom. The epoxy stickers were also from the October box as well as that adorable little planner charm Jack Skellington (its a bell too!).

Project life cards are definitely one of my favorite ways to make my planner pop and adds some special element that can easily be changed depending on your mood.

Even if you do not have a cutting machine these are things you can hand cut or use a paper trimmer and score and hole punch and you are still good to go. Dimensions will be shown below for mine. As you see the pocket is perfect for the small 3x4 PL cards. You can also use it to put paperclips or important items you may need to save. Remember with the template shown below you can make the folder any size you would like by just adjusting the sizes shown.

Making your own paperclips
This is an easy thing to do with just a few embellishments such as flair, die cuts etc. or even some plastic do dads just look around you probably have things that easily can be turned into a clip. If you are making a clip from flair I advise you to use E6000 adhesive. Just a blop of that on the back and you can secure the clip. I also like to finish it off by putting a little felt circle over it so that it hides the clip.

You can purchase epoxy stickers or die cuts and create some paperclips yourself or if you are like me and you have a die cutting machine you can go to town! I will most like share in a future post a process video doing some clips.
Let your imagination take your planner to new places. Post cards and cute magazine covers and pictures of just about anything that you find appealing can be laminated to make you a fun, cute dashboard. I know I save all Anna's cards that come with the kits so that I can hole punch them or create a dashboard with them. If you do not own a laminator you can get those laminating pouches that are self sealing, you can take to your local office supply and pay them to laminate it as well.

Planner charms
Often times I run across metal charms for .25 cents or less at times or you can also find them in your local hobby store in bags and charms in the jewelry section and you can make yourself a inexpensive planner charm with some of the charms and add beads or whatever you are in to.

I hope this helps you to see that with some craft supplies you probably have laying around you can create some unique items for your planner without spending a fortune to do it.

Hey Ghoul Friend!

Hey peeps!! I am on Cardz TV Gallery blog today and my little card today is Halloween inspired but I wanted you to see with Mary's halloween stamps you can make a card that isn't necessarily all about halloween!

I wanted to make this card for a friend and I thought it would be cute to still utilize the halloween type theme but make it about really just a friendship card.

I purchased the cutting file for the Bride of Frankenstein from (love her files!) and stamped the sentiment from "Trick or Treat" set. Added some tulle which I love this stuff why wasn't I using it before!

The card base is also a cut file from svgcuttingfiles and the paper is black cardstock textured from American Crafts. The glitter paper (oh man its new for me but I love this stuff) is from DCWV and it is smooth! So its ok to use and not dull your blade. I got it at Joann's.

Pocket letters

I decided to try my hand at working on some pocket letters. The two below are not at all finished yet but I thought I would share my progress to this point. I knew for sure I wanted to incorporate my clips. Although I may need to alter the sizes in the future because they don't fit in there like I really want them too.

First one is a baby one I wanted to work on for a friend. I used Carina Gardner's "pen pal letters" cutting files that you can get from the silhouette store. All the papers are also from Carina Gardner "Baby Safari"which you can purchase on

2nd pocket letter is Wizard of Oz themed...cutting files are from there are two sets i purchased so i could get the witch i wanted!

Paperclip madness

Sharing some of the clips I have made lately. I have been pretty busy. The first one is a bunny I drew it and created the cut file and this was an exclusive design for the Mrs. Brimbles Oct box. If you don't know who Mrs. Brimbles is then let me tell you. She is a super sweet lady in the UK who has a love for planners and stationary. She puts out a subscription box each month that she spends so much time searching for the perfect crafters and vendors to include in her boxes. I just got lucky and was asked for two of her boxes. I did the October box and I am doing a Christmas box with her. She is my planner idol. I am happy to also call her a friend. So on to the clip!

Here is my sketch

This is the clip!

This is another drawing I did and turned it into a clip. Starting to love this idea

This is a clip for a planner friend based on her logo

Another planner friend who loves Macaron's and purple so this one is for her

My daughter loves Beetlejuice and so I was so happy when a blog hop of SVGcuttingfiles and Jaded Blossom happened because Ann created these awesome Beetlejuice files and so guess what...BOOM my daughter has a Beetlejuice clip!

Now on to my absolute favorite ones because it is my favorite show is THE WALKING DEAD!!!
The Daryl file is from and all the others I created in silhouette studio

Here is Michonne I did her after I took this picture. I have to do Carol next!!

Zombie Hello Kitty

A person contacted me and wanted a girl with a messy bun holding a pumkin so this was done for her

Another really tedious clip was this one I did for a planner friend

Well that is enough sharing today!

Cardz Tv Planner page

Hello its my Cardz Tv Gallery day today i wanted to focus on how you can use Mary's stamps in your planner. She has a new planner stamp set out that has alot of things on it that is everyday things you would be marking in your calendar so it is an awesome set to have for plannerds like myself.

Also just because you sets are not considered planner sets doesn't mean you can't use them. I only used a few other stamp sets and I didn't stamp too many of them but I am working ahead on this spread and it is still several weeks away so i am leaving it pretty plain to add more things as things come up and then if it has alot of white space left I can definitely stamp more on it and also fill in with some more decorative stickers. I wanted to work ahead on the week of Halloween.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE halloween fan so trust me this page will be completely covered when it gets closer to time. When you decorate a planner you tend to work ahead after you get a theme or just an idea of what you would like to decorate it in. Washi tapes and stickers that coordinate are so fun. I am just building my supply up so I am still getting used to decorating the planner but I have always used a planner to write things in.

I used the sets: Click here to order
Lets Face It
Planner Basics
Trick or Treat
More Spooky Sayings

I love Mary's fun stamps and she is a joy to work with. I hope you enjoy just a start of a planner spread for me. I also make paper pieced paper clips but the ones I am sharing here today was sent to me by my sweet friend Courtney of Lovely Little Planner on Etsy. We swap clips once in a while and I am a big Hocus Pocus fan and when she made these I wanted them real bad. Aren't they super cute!!

Grocery cart and call stamp to mark calls and days I need to get groceries. Appointment and trash days marked as well as a cute little camera to mark when i need to photography things for my post. Candy corn and sentiment from the Trick or Treat set. Click on photo for a closer look.

I stamped the weather stamp above each days so that I can write what the weather was like. I used the cute little eyes from the Lets face it all over the two pages to make cute spooky eyes, The little pencils are adorable and to mark when I have a design team post to write.

Bewitching gift

I am on Timeless Twine/Bella Creationz and I wanted to make a cute little gift to send to the grandkids and I thought the decorated milk carton would be cute for candy and then I made a cute little witch card for the gift. I used Solid OrangeSolid Black and Orange Licorice and purple and orange sequins from a halloween mix last year.

All very simple but a quick little way to send a gift to a grandkids. Fill it will candy and I will also buy other things to put in my package.

The witch cutting file is from and the milk carton is decorated with elements from the "Bewitched" paper collection by We R Memory Keepers. My friend Brianna sent me the entire kit and it was fabulous!! I hoarded it a bit cause I had this from last October from my birthday! I love halloween and she knows that!
